Currently our friendly volunteers meet at 9am every Monday morning in front of the Police Station on the high street.
No experience or gardening knowledge is necessary and it can be a really enjoyable way of getting outdoors, combining a bit of exercise in the fresh air while improving our local surroundings. There is always a choice of jobs to do around the town in various locations so our work is not routine. We finish off in Gardeners Car Park ~10.30 with a cup of coffee and time to chat.
We need lots of help with planting, weeding and watering the beds, baskets and planters but we also need people with new ideas, IT and fundraising skills to support our work. In the spring and summer, regular watering is required using our watering carts and we would welcome extra help from individuals or families to ensure the plants are maintained at their best. Full instructions will be given, so please get in touch if you think you can help. All support is very much welcomed and appreciated.
