NBIB were delighted to be chosen as one of the six Scottish finalists for Britain in Bloom 2020. Having won the coveted Rosebowl for best Scottish entrant in Keep Scotland Beautiful 2019.  Sadly, due to the current crisis, this event has had to be postponed.  With luck they will be working hard to impress the UK judges in August 2021. Despite this set back, the 20+ hands on volunteers, when possible, continue to spend Monday morning tidying, weeding and planting to make North Berwick look beautiful. NB was last in the UK competition in 2017 when they won the latest in a series  of gold medals.

April-May: The 2020 Tulip festival.

The tulips for this years festival were planted in November which meant that despite the pandemic the town had its annual display.  The annual tulip tea had to go virtual.  Short slide shows of the tulip tea and the tulip display can be found on the web page devoted to the tulip festival.

January:  Libby Morris delivered a lecture on Plants in Medicine to The North Berwick Gardening Club

December 2019:  NBiB were privilege to be chosen to switch on the Christmas lights in North Berwick.

November:  Ian Craigie and Stan de Prato co-represented NBiB at the North Berwick Gardening club, Gardeners question time.
